Argentina is situated on the southeastern Atlantic coast of South America.

The Argentine Open Polo Championships, held every November near Las Cañitas in Palermo, are attended by British royalty and rich and famous from all over the world. Outside of Buenos Aires are the pampas, home of Argentina’s cowboys (gauchos) who work ob the ranches. You can even stay overnight in one of the elegant converted 19th century pampas ranch homes.

Argentina’s Las Leñas ski resort offers world-class summer skiing and snowboarding on expert slopes by day, with lively casino action by night. Cruise to Antarctica and visit the Lighthouse at the End of the World in Ushuaia. Iguazu Falls showcases over 275 of the most powerful waterfalls in the world, including Devil’s Throat, along the borders of Argentina and Brazil.

The Argentine Patagonia Andes even has glaciers, including one of the last advancing glaciers of the world in Perito Moreno. complete with cliffs of ice. A tourist village nearby furnishes lodging if you want to extend your visit to include the even more impressive Upsala glacier, 4 miles wide and 37 miles long.
